E-Resources Control Unit

The E-resources Control Unit provides the following services for SUL's electronic resources:

  • acquires, pre-processes, and loads vendor-supplied bibliographic records for all types of electronic resources, including government documents, commercial e-book and e-journal packages, as well as non-print resources such as sound recordings and streaming videos.
  • creates and maintains descriptive metadata for resources that reside within the Stanford Digital Repository, including the transformation of source metadata from a variety of formats to the standard MODS format that is used by the SDR and SearchWorks.
