Thousands of Stanford University student group constitutions and other founding documents dating from the late 1970's to present day were recently transferred to Stanford's University Archives.

The records, from the Office of Student Activities and Leadership, part of the Office of Student Affairs, shine a light on the origins of many previously undocumented student groups, some of which are no longer active on campus. Stanford currently supports over 650 volunteer student organizations. These materials will serve as a boon to researchers interested in the history of student organizations on the Stanford campus.

The materials, which include digital files, will be added to the Office of Student Activities and Leadership records, SC0368.
