The Apple Archives are available for research in the Department of Special Collections located in Green Library.
A good place to begin to discover Apple-related materials at Stanford is the finding aid (listing) for the large collection given to Stanford by Apple Computer in 1997.
We have since received many other collections of various sizes, nearly forty in all. A selection of these collections have been described in the various pages of the guide you are reading now, so another way to start the discovery process is to browse the other pages you find here.
A third strategy is to search in SearchWorks, the online catalog of the Stanford University Libraries.
Here is a quick search in SearchWorks that results in a useful listing of Apple Computer materials in our Dept. of Special Collections.
Note that all materials in Special Collections are housed off-site, so must be paged to the reading room of the Department of Special Collections. Allow up to 48 hours for this process. Instructions for paging materials from Specials Collections can be found here.
If you still have questions, contact the reference staff in the Department of Special Collections if these questions pertain to access; contact Henry Lowood, curator for history of science and technology collections, if you have questions about the contents of our collections or are considering a donation of archival materials to the Silicon Valley Archives.
